About me

I am a biologist by training and have worked in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles over the past 20+ years in the Basel area and in the U.S. I am transitioning into software engineering, driven by a long-standing interest in computer science and technology, and by how AI is reshaping the job market. Over recent years I built foundations in Linux administration, deep learning, and web development. Today I am actively building and operating my first professional software engineering project, swatchdog.ch — a free and open-source civic transparency site for Swiss government and parliament data — which I am passionate about.
